Organizations and businesses accepting/distributing donations for Carr Fire victims

The following places are accepting donations for Carr Fire victims:

  • Thriftology at 254 Hartnell Avenue
  • Salvation Army in collaboration with Bethel Church at 2691 Lakespur Lane (Only new items are being accepted)
  • Western Service Workers Association at 2350 Beverly Drive
  • Goodtimes Pizza and Things at 22049 Old 44 Drive
  • The Stirring Church at 2250 Churn Creek Road
  • Chico Mall at 1950 E. 20 Street, Suite 727
  • Turtle Bay Elementary School (Starting August 2) at 1330 Arboretum Drive
  • Simpson University at 2211 College View Drive. They say giftcards for gas, groceries and toiletries are most helpful
  • Burney Presbyterian Church at 20435 Marquette St in Burney
  • Camping World at 3700 Automall Drive in Anderson
  • Redding Adventist Church at 1356 E Cypress Ave (On August 5)
  • Dan's Optical is accepting donations to help them replace prescription eyewear for individuals who have lost their glasses directly related to the Carr fire at 4624 Shasta Dam Blvd

The following places are distributing donations to Carr Fire victims:

  • Salvation Army in collaboration with Bethel Church at 933 College View Drive
  • Thriftology at 254 Hartnell Avenue
  • Shasta Athletic Club at 1988 Park Marina Drive
  • Shasta Library is distributing books to children at 1100 Parkview Avenue (On August 4 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.)
  • Dan's Optical is providing replacement prescription eyewear for individuals who have lost their glasses directly related to the Carr fire at 4624 Shasta Dam Blvd

The following businesses are donating some of their proceeds to help Carr Fire victims:

  • AM/PM gas station on Churn Creek says they will donate a portion of their fuel sales to those affected by the Carr Fire through the end of the year
  • On August 3 at 2:00 p.m. Harris Studios is performing the Lion King at 3590 Placer Street. The tickets cost $5 per person and children under the age of seven are free. 100 percent of the proceeds will go to Carr Fire victims
  • Cheesecakes Unlimited is donating five percent of their sales through August 5 at 1135 Pine Street to Carr Fire victims
