TEHAMA COUNTY, Calif. — The first community swimming pool will soon be installed in Rancho Tehama, according to Rancho Tehama Reserve Association.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held on 17605 Park Terrance Thursday afternoon, with officials and staff in attendance to witness and celebrate the future infrastructure. The board of directors has received a grant from Tehama County and decided to use a portion of the funds to build a pool to give the youth and senior demographic in the community an area and attraction to be proud of.
Anthony Talamante with the board said the community had not had a new infrastructure built in the community since 1968.
" We broke ground for the first time, and we’re bringing in a community pool which is going to enhance our neighborhood, make the complete community robust, and give the kids something to strive for through this positivity here, " said Talamante.
More future projects are set to be implemented in the near future, including license plate readers to help combat crime, solar panels, road improvements, more welfare checks on the senior community,
