Dungeness crab season delayed due to concerns for whale safety and meat quality

Testing are also conducted for the presence of domoic acid, a naturally occuring toxin that can render shellfish unfit for human consumption. Tim Novotny with the Oregon Dungeness Crab Commission said they've seen domoic acid dissipate over the summer. Test results should be available by the end of the week. (SBG)
