WEED, Calif. — Update as of January 8 at 8 a.m.:
The Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office said McNeal was found and is safe.
Siskiyou County Sheriff Jon Lopey reported Monday that Rosemarie McNeal, 52, of Dunsmuir has been missing since January 4 and may be in danger.
McNeal was last seen walking in the Maple Street area of the Carrick Edition outside of Weed in Siskiyou County.
Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office patrol deputies have investigated the situation and have reason to believe McNeal may be in danger.
McNeal is a white, adult woman with long, dark-brown hair and brown eyes. She is five feet, five inches tall and weighs 120-135 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and black boots.
“We are very concerned about Marie’s welfare, based on the duration of her absence and the fact there are some suspicious circumstances surrounding her disappearance. Our detectives, deputies, and [Search and Rescue] personnel are working hard to locate her but we need anyone with information about Marie’s whereabouts to contact the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office 24-hour Dispatch Center at (530) 841-2900,” Sheriff Jon Lopey said.
