Hit-and-run in Arcata led to the death of a pedestrian Wednesday morning
ARCATA, Calif. — A hit-and-run incident in the City of Arcata Wednesday morning resulted in the death of a pedestrian.
According to police, around 5:53 in the morning, Arcata Police Department responded to a call alerting them of a pedestrian down in the roadway on the 500 block of Valley West Blvd.
Upon arrival, they found that the victim had by struck by a vehicle and had sustained major injuries.
Police took the pedestrian to St. Joseph's Hospital where they eventually were pronounced dead due to their injuries.
Arcata Police Department confirmed that this is being considered a felony hit and run, they ask that anyone who witnessed this crash or anyone with information regarding this incident contact the Arcata Police Department at (707)-825-2588.
