Lake County minimum-security inmate arrested after walking away from Konocti Camp


    Inmate Nicholas Dunning who was being held at Konocti Conservation Camp in Lake County was arrested Saturday after being on the run since December 31, according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR).

    Dunning was arrested without incident at 1:15 a.m. Saturday during a traffic stop near Coachella.

    Dunning will be transferred to Calipatria State Prison and the Imperial County District Attorney's Office will review his case for consideration of escape charges.
