A 66-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after officers say he attacked a homeowner with a large tree branch while making threats, according to the Corning Police Department (CPD).

The report first came in just before 10 a.m. saying the suspect, Corning resident Roy Stokes, forced his way into a home in the 1500 block of Fig Ln.

Police say he then attacked the homeowner with the branch, injuring his face, and threatened physical harm to both the victim and the victim's family.

The homeowner was able to force Stokes out of the house. The CPD found him at a nearby skate park.
