WEAVERVILLE, Calif. — A man who was severely beaten in Weaverville at the end of March is still hospitalized, but on Monday the Trinity County Sheriff's Office announced they had arrested three people in connection to the assault.
According to the Trinity County Sheriff's Office, a Weaverville man was badly beaten on Weaver Bally Road in the evening of March 29. Officials say he is still hospitalized but in stable condition.
Due to significant head trauma, the victim's recollection of the events, which led to his hospitalization, is unclear.
After a lengthy investigation, including contacting multiple witnesses and identifying multiple suspects, the Trinity County Sheriff's Office arrested three people.
Officials identified the suspects as, Dustin Tobiassen, Robert Leighton, and Joel Andrade. The trio were charged with battery with great bodily injury, assault with a deadly weapon, and mayhem (disfigurement of a victim).
