It was a unanimous vote Tuesday night at the Redding City Council meeting on setting the licensing fees for cannabis related businesses to $27,900 each year per business.
The city says these fees will pay for a building inspector (Code Enforcement position), Fire Prevention Inspector, and a Community Service Officer.
For retail there will be a $1,000 proposal fee, a $5,000 application fee and a $2,550 application renewal fee.
For residential cultivation licenses, the initial application will be $100 with an annual renewal fee of $20.
All medical cultivation is free with a California State Medical Marijuana card.
The fees will now go into effect Thursday April 19.
