KTVL/ Kimberly Kolliner

[UPDATE 7/5/18 11:55 p.m] Interstate 5 near the Oregon/California border will be closed for the rest of the night due to the Klamathon Fire. CalTrans District 2 officials are asking travelers to limit their drives and stay in Redding or further south in Red Bluff or Corning until the road is clear,

CalTrans says travelers, especially commercial trucks on freight routes/schedules, can drive through Weed and SR97 without stopping. Just remember the route will be congested and to be alert and drive slowly.

CalTrans says it won't be able to give an update about I-5, until 6,7 or 8 in the morning.
