3. Road closed as Chico State students leave dorms
Part of West Legion Avenue will be closed in Chico, beginning Thursday morning, as students move out of dorms at Chico State.
The closure, from Walnut Street to Citrus Avenue, will last through 6 p.m. Thursday. It will be in effect again on Friday between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.
There will be no fee for day use or boat launching at the Lake Oroville State Recreation Area Thursday and Friday.
The fee free days will continue on select days throughout the summer, with the next dates set for June 7 and 8.
5. Glenn County Fair kicks off
Thursday marks the first day of the Glenn County Fair in Orland.
General admission is $10 and the event runs through Sunday.
