The President tweeted early Tuesday, saying his Secretary of State has been ousted and replaced by CIA Director Mike Pompeo.

The tweet read, "Mike Pompeo, Director of the CIA, will become our new Secretary of State. He will do a fantastic job! Thank you to Rex Tillerson for his service! Gina Haspel will become the new Director of the CIA, and the first woman so chosen. Congratulations to all!"

Driver arrested for DUI after Highway 99 crash

A 24-year-old woman has been arrested for DUI after crashing into a vehicle stopped near Highway 99 to help the victim of a previous crash.

It happened around 10:30 p.m. near the on-ramp to southbound Highway 99 from East Avenue.

Kiri K. Moore was arrested for felony DUI, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Fire burns Honcut home

A fire burned a home in Honcut early Tuesday morning.

It happened around 2:20 a.m. in the 10,000 block of Palermo-Honcut Highway.

Firefighters said one structure was destroyed but no one was injured.

Vote on hemp restrictions in Shasta County
