MT. SHASTA. Calif. — Two Mt. Shasta adults were found dead Saturday and the Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office has linked their deaths to carbon monoxide poisoning.
The two victims were identified as Lia Her, 43, of Sacramento and Cha Bouashu Lao, 50, of Sacramento.
The deaths were determined to be accidental from a charcoal barbecue burning that appeared to be used by the two for warmth.
“We are saddened by the death of the victims involved in this case. Our thoughts, prayers, and condolences go out to both victims, their families, and friends,” Sheriff Jon Lopey said.
