CORNING, Calif. — South Avenue was closed for almost two hours in Corning after a head-on collision Friday morning.. The crash was reported at 5:43 a.m. on South Avenue near Marguerite Avenue. According to the CHP, just prior to the crash, witnesses had reported a pickup was driving recklessly.
According to the CHP, the pickup was one of two vehicles that collided head-on blocking the road. The CHP said one driver was taken to Enloe Medical Center In Chico.
