10,000 without power due to wildfires
REDDING, Calif. —
According to a PG&E spokesperson 10,000 people are without power in the Redding, Red Bluff and Chico areas.
Of those, 6,800 are with out power at the request of Cal Fire, as they tackle multiple wildfires in the Northstate.
The remaining 3,200 are without power due to PG&E equipment being damaged by the wildfires in the area.
PG&E stressed that these power outages were not part of their precautionary power cutoff during extreme fire weather conditions that they notified customers about last week.
