21-year-old arrested for DUI causing injury
REDDING, Calif. —
A 21-year-old was arrested for DUI causing injury in Redding.
It happened around 10:23 p.m. Tuesday on Lake Boulevard and Panorama Drive.
According to Redding police, 21-year-old Blaine Coon was westbound on St. Nicholas Avenue and didn't stop at the stop sign.
Police said Coon was driving a gray Ford pickup and crashed into a red Honda CRV driven by Ariana Coonce, 18. They said Coonce had been northbound on Lake Boulevard.
Coonce and her passenger, 18-year-old Dorothy Graunstadt, suffered minor injuries.
Police said Coon was trying to leave the scene but citizens were detaining him. He was booked into Shasta County Jail for DUI causing injury.
Police said both vehicles had to be towed and suffered moderate damage.
