7 arrests, 24 citations given in Redding bicycle operation

The Redding Police Department arrested seven people and gave 24 citations during a four-hour long bicycle operation.

On Feb. 14, officers from the Redding Police Department, the Anderson Police Department and the California Highway Patrol conducted a criminal sweep in the business district areas of Hilltop Drive and Dana Drive.

A total of 16 officers participated in the long bicycle operation, resulting in seven arrests and bookings, 24 citations and dozens of contacts and searches. Officials said that officers also posted numerous illegal camps and removed multiple stolen and abandoned shopping carts.

Jordan Lewis Harty, 32, of Redding was arrested for four outstanding warrants, one felony and three misdemeanors.

Christie Ann Bailey, 48, of Redding, was arrested for two outstanding warrants, one felony and one misdemeanor.
