Update: Stolen pillows made from shirts of deceased father returned
REDDING, Calif. - A Redding family is overjoyed after pillows stolen from them, that were made from shirts that belonged to their deceased father, were returned to them.
Kathy Thomas posted on Facebook saying, "THANK YOU to everyone who shared, commented and had interest in my story. The media played a HUGE role in us BUYING the pillows back! Yes, I said BUYING. My Christmas gifts were sold, given away and or kept! The pillows are back where they should be! With my family! I can’t thank you all enough!"
The Redding family was in disbelief on Christmas Eve when they discovered the package containing the pillows was stolen from their mothers front porch only minutes prior to being delivered.
The pillows were made by Thomas and sent to her mother, JoAnn Ralston, to give to her siblings and all of the grandkids. The pillows were made from Ralton's former husband's favorite shirts and jackets and every pillow has a message on it that says, “This is a shirt I used to wear and whenever you hold it, know I am there. Love Pa”.
The family was offering a reward to anyone who brought back the stolen pillows.
