The Hirz Fire has burned 15,210 acres with 11 percent containment.

According to a Shasta-Trinity National Forest fire update, evacuations remain in place.

As of Monday morning, the Hirz Fire is 14,709 acres and remains 11 percent contained.

According to officials, firefighters conducted a successful firing operation on the southwest end of the fire, to protect the community near Old Mill Road.

Evacuations remain in place for residents on Old Mill Road, Bonnie Vista Lane, Top of the Hill Trail, Hirz Mountain Road, the north side of Gilman Road, and the Billibokka Fishing Club.

A community meeting will be held Monday at 6 p.m. at McCloud High School. There will also be a community meeting at the Lakehead Lions Club on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
