Police arrest two after reports of suspicious loitering near Redding Library
REDDING, Calif. —
The Redding Police Department's Neighborhood Police Unit arrested two repeat offenders after reports of "suspicious subjects loitering" in the area of the Redding Library Thursday.
According to a press release, NPU officers arrested Marty Lee Winn, 50, of Redding, after he told police he was under the influence of methamphetamine. They also arrested Angelica Renee Gilchrist, 23, of Redding on multiple charges.
Gilchrist, who has been arrested 11 times, was taken into custody and booked into the Shasta County Jail for possession and transportation of a controlled substance for the purpose of sales and violation of her probation. Winn, who has been arrested 26 times, was taken into custody for violation of Post Release Community Supervision and booked into the Shasta County Jail.
