REDDING, Calif. — Four people have been arrested after a reported robbery turned into an hour-long manhunt in Redding. Residents near Old Oregon Trail and Old Alturas Road were told to stay in their homes during the ordeal.
It started around 5:48 p.m. Sunday at a home in the 10000 block of Old Oregon Trail when a robbery was reported. The man told police his neighbors had been tied up with zip ties and held at gunpoint. The suspects had taken guns and other items. The man tried to stop the suspects with his car but was shot at.
Deputies, police and the California Highway Patrol began searching for the suspects with the help of a helicopter.
Hamed Daneshmand-Pourlashgari, 35, Lee Stockinger Jr., 42, Marc Love, 51, and Candy Salazar, 35, were arrested within an hour and taken to the Shasta County Jail.
The four are charged with conspiracy to commit a crime, robbery inside a dwelling, assault with a deadly weapon/firearm, and other charges. They are each being held on $100,000 bail.
