Redding firefighters contain vegetation fire in north Hilltop

Redding firefighters contained a vegetation fire burning in the green way area of north Hilltop,

According to dispatchers, firefighters were dispatched to 438 Woodcliff Drive.

Fire officials at the scene reported that the fire burned about two acres before being contained.

Redding Fire Chief Gerry Gray tweeted out that the fire was upgraded to a second alarm, meaning that all on-duty resources were committed.

Firefighters will be in the area for several hours doing mop up.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but currently officials believe that a Jeep (photo below) that was trespassing on the land was the cause.
