Redding underground parking structure to close April 9
REDDING, Calif. —
According to the City of Redding. the underground parking facility, accessed off Market/Pine Street alley, is scheduled to close April 9, 2018, to make way for the Downtown Loop and Affordable House Project.
This is the parking garage underneath the old Dicker's building, not the two-story parking garage on California Street.
City officials said the closure is necessary to allow for the related infrastructure improvements.
The project will include the following street improvements:
- Connecting Yuba Street, from California Street to Pine Street
- Connecting Butte Street, from the California-Market Alley to Pine Street
- Extending Market Street, from Yuba Street to Tehama Street.
