Fire contained, roads opened on Happy Valley Road in Anderson

As of 1:58 p.m. Cal Fire says that the fire is now contained and roads are open.


As of 12:50 p.m. Cal Fire says the fire is five acres, 60 percent contained and that forward progress has been stopped. Happy Valley Road from New Riders Way to Palm Ave. is expected to remain closed for the next few hours.


According to the Shasta County Sheriff's Office, Happy Valley Road from New Riders Way to Palm Ave. has been closed at his time due to the fire in that area.

Cal Fire says the blaze is currently four acres and progress has slowed but firefighters are dealing with spot fires starting near by. They told us the structure fire was a garage on the property.

The homeowners of the property said that someone is living in the garage at this time. Cal Fire says that the cause of the fire is still being investigated.


A three acre vegetation fire with a fully involved structure fire is burning in the 5500 block of Happy Valley Road in Anderson.

According to Cal Fire, no evacuations have been ordered.
