Two people were arrested after an attempted burglary at the Christian Life Center on Browning Street in Redding Wednesday morning.

Police said a pastor with the church was inside at the time and called police when he heard people attempting to get in. While on the phone with dispatch, police said a window was broken on the north side of the building.

When police arrived they found Billie Joe Graygarrigus, 29, on the south side of the building and his girlfriend Alicia Baker, 28, walking away from the north side.

Baker was found with burglary tools, drug paraphernalia, and had injuries consistent with cuts by glass. Baker had a misdemeanor warrant for her arrest as well. Graygarrigus was also found with drug paraphernalia.

Officers found a window shattered and several window screens removed.

Baker and Graygarrigus were booked into Shasta County Jail for attempted burglary and possession of drug paraphernalia. Baker was also booked for her warrant and possession of burglary tools.
