Shasta County Clerks Office offers reminders for Carr Fire victims

The Shasta County Clerk and Elections office posted a helpful reminder on their Facebook page Monday regarding voters displaced by the Carr Fire.

First, they would like to remind the public that election mail is not forwarded by the post office, the California Elections code does not allow it for security reasons.

They would also like to remind people that the General Election is on November 6, 2018. Those who are temporarily relocated due to the fire need to inform the Clerk and Elections office.

Those planning to return to their homes do not need to re-register to vote. Anyone who has moved permanently for any reason must re-register to vote with their new address.

Starting October 8, 2018 voters can also cast their votes in the Shasta County Clerk and Elections office.
