12-year-old allegedly spits in officer's face, attempts to burn him before being arrested
RED BLUFF, Calif. —
According to the Red Bluff Police Department, a 12-year-old has been booked into juvenile hall for allegedly resisting arrest for vandalism by spitting in an officer's face and attempting to burn him.
Police said at about 8:16 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to an apartment on Delphinium Court for a report of a juvenile issue.
While on scene, officials said an officer witnessed a juvenile vandalizing an apartment and attempted to arrest him.
The officer said the 12-year-old boy resisted arrest and spit in his face. During the struggle, the officer said the boy also got a lighter and attempted to burn his arm.
Several other law enforcement officers responded and the boy was arrested without further incident.
The boy was booked into juvenile hall for resisting arrest, vandalism, and assault with a deadly weapon.
