Man arrested after stabbing woman multiple times in her bed

A woman was stabbed multiple times Friday morning, while laying in her bed, by a man who also lived in her home.

On February 9, around 4:06 a.m., deputies with the Tehama County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the 8000 block of Sherwood Blvd. in Los Molinos for a stabbing. When deputies arrived, they found Sharon Foushee, 65, who was suffering from multiple slash/stab wounds to her head, neck, and arm area.

Officials said during the investigation, deputies learned Foushee had been in bed in her home when Samuel Dunn, 36, who also lived in the home, came into her room, straddled her and stabbed her repeatedly. Officials said Foushee was cut/stabbed with a folding pocket type knife.

Dunn was then knocked off Foushee and the knife was taken away by her husband. Officials said Dunn ran from the house before deputies arrived and an extensive area check was done. Dunn was later found, naked, in a field in the Los Molinos area.

Dunn was booked into the Tehama County Jail for assault with a deadly weapon and attempted murder by stabbing. He is being held on a $550,000 bail.

Officials said they believe this incident stems around money that Dunn believes Foushee took.
