Man arrested for child pornography in remote Tehama County

Kenny Lee Pawlings, 37

A man was arrested on Thursday for charges related to possessing and distributing child pornography.

According to the Tehama County Sheriff's Office, investigators first received a tip in November of 2017 that Kenny Lee Pawlings, 37, from Flournoy, was receiving child pornography over the internet.

Investigators, through an in-depth investigation over a two-month span, discovered that Pawling had possessed hundreds of images of underage children either in sexually suggestive poses or performing sexual acts. Investigators reported that they also learned Pawling was then sending some of the images to others in the country.

On Thursday, Pawling was arrested at his home in the 15000 block of Paskenta Road in the community of Flournoy for a felony arrest warrant issued on January 17.

During the search of the home, investigators found additional suspected child pornography and evidence to support the listed allegations.

In total, more than 600 images of children were found by law enforcement.

No children were found in the home.
