EPD asks for public's assistance identifying Pat's market armed robbery suspect

Police are asking for the public assistance identifying a suspect caught on surveillance camera robbing a Eureka liquor store at gunpoint Tuesday evening, according to the Eureka Police Dept. (EPD).

At around 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 4, EPD officers responded to Pat's Market in the 1200 block of 11th Street for the report of a robbery.

The victim reportedly told police a man walked into the store, took out a gun and demanded money from the cash register. Police said the suspect then fled northbound on M Street.

The suspect is described as a Black or dark-complected Hispanic male in his late 30’s to early 40’s, 6 feet tall with a thin build. Police say he was wearing a grey hat, black and grey windbreaker, blue jeans and grey and white shoes.

"The subject wore a black cloth on the lower half of his face during the robbery, concealing his identity," the EPD said in a press release.

Investigators are requesting the public’s assistance with identifying the suspect. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call Detective Richard Bise at 707-441-4109 or via e-mail at rbise@ci.eureka.ca.gov.
