EUREKA, Calif. — A brush fire that broke out on Stinky Beach peninsula burned itself out Wednesday morning.
Humboldt Bay Fire who was monitoring the burn said on Tuesday since they could not access the fire near the Eureka waterfront they were going to let it burn itself out.
The vegetation fire broke out on April 27 near the Hikshari Trail between the bay and Elk River around 4 p.m. on Monday, April 27.
Officials reported the fire was not threatening anything and weather at the time was favorable.
There is still no word on how the fire started.
