HCSO: Man arrested for resisting deputies after car prowling in Eureka Thursday morning
EUREKA, Calif. —
A man was arrested in Eureka early Thursday morning after the sheriff's office received complaints of people looking into car windows, according to the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office (HCSO).
At around 1:30 a.m. on April 12, On April 12, at about 1:30 a.m., Humboldt County sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the area of Myrtle Avenue and 17th Street for the report of a car prowler. Upon arrival, deputies found three white male adults in their 20s looking into car windows, the HCSO said.
When deputies tried to contact the men, they all fled, officials said. Deputies were able to apprehend one man, 19-year-old Thomas William Carlson of Eureka. He was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility and charged with resisting arrest and carrying a concealed dirk or dagger, according to the HCSO.
