HCSO: Police searching for suspect in armed robbery of Eureka gas station
EUREKA, Calif. —
Eureka police are searching for the suspect in an armed robbery they say occurred at a gas station in Eureka late Thursday night.
Just before midnight on Dec. 5, the HCSO responded to the Chevron on the 1600 block of Myrtle Avenue for the report of an armed robbery. The same gas station was recently the victim of a "smash and grab" burglary.
According to the store clerk, a male suspect entered the business shortly before midnight. The suspect brandished a firearm and demanded cash from the register. The suspect then fled from the business with over $300 in cash.
The suspect is described as a white male adult, possibly in his 40’s, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, with a thin build, wearing a blue bandanna on his face, a black sweatshirt and dark-colored baggy pants. The suspect was last seen fleeing eastbound on Myrtle Ave. on foot.
