EUREKA, Calif. —
The Humboldt County Sheriff's Office has completed the autopsy of a woman they say was found deceased on the streets of Eureka Monday morning.
The Eureka Police Dept. told North Coast News they responded to the 1700 block of Fourth Street on Dec. 3 for the report of a person down at around 7 a.m. Officers performed CPR and medical personnel responded to the scene. The coroner was called at 7:27 a.m., police said.
The HCSO released the identity of the person found as 56-year-old Debra Jealous of Him.
Her autopsy was performed Wednesday, Dec. 5 and her cause of death has been determined as natural causes related to ongoing health issues. Despite some rumors circulating on social media, the woman's death was not related to cold weather exposure, according to the HCSO.
The sheriff's office could not comment on whether Jealous of Him was homeless at the time of her death.
