EUREKA, Calif. — Deputies are investigating an attempted "smash and grab" burglary that happened early Monday morning at a Chevron gas station in Eureka, according to the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office (HCSO).
Around 3:30 a.m. on Nov. 26, the burglary alarm at a gas station on the 1600 block of Myrtle Avenue went off. When deputies arrived, they found the glass front door had been smashed and an ATM had been pulled toward the door. According to the business owner, nothing appeared to have been stolen.
