Memorial for St. Joseph nurse killed in Eureka to be held Friday

A memorial service will be held for Astraia Muir this Friday at St. Joseph Hospital in Eureka. She was a nurse at the hospital and was allegedly a victim of a murder-suicide in Eureka, according to police.

Members of the nursing staff at the hospital say Muir will be sorely missed.

"She was just a very good person," fellow nurse at St. Joseph Hospital Mary Bustamante said. "Full of life and always positive and helpful. Her red scrub tops and matching lipstick made her a favorite with patients and coworkers. It is tragic."

The service will be held in Conference Room 1 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will also be a prayer service in the chapel at 11:30 a.m.
