EUREKA, Calif. — Students from a first-period art class at Zane Middle School in Eureka, are picking up their paintbrushes for an exciting new project.
Under the tutelage of local muralist Mir de Silva, these kids are creating a mural just outside the school gates.
Prior to this, the painting areas were black asphalt, now they’re bringing them alive with original symbols designed by students.
Students are reportedly involved in every aspect of this mural project, from design to priming the painting areas, and painting and sealing the finished design.
