Sam Chimenti

Sam Chimenti is a local kid, born and raised in Redding. Ever since he was little, Sam has had a knack for talking (too much so, his teachers would say) and a desire to work in the media.

After earning a degree in Communications from Sacramento State, Sam moved back to his hometown, accepting a job with KRCR as a Production Assistant. After 8 months in that role, Sam moved in front of the camera, becoming a full-time Multimedia Journalist in January of 2022. With a background in sports, Sam's ultimate goal is to move down south and work for NFL Network, following in the footsteps of one-time KRCR great Rich Eisen.

But for now, Sam is enjoying the opportunity to report the news in his hometown. He revels in the chance to cover anything community-oriented while providing a voice to those who need it or deserve it.

In life outside of work, Sam enjoys traveling, watching sports (he's a huge Giants, Raiders and Kings fan), hanging out with his girlfriend, and partaking in "Wine Wednesdays" with his pals.

If you ever see Sam out in public, he encourages you to come up and say hello-- nobody's a stranger to him, and he admittedly enjoys the attention.
