Evacuation orders have been put into place for a fire burning west of Fort Jones, in Siskiyou County, Monday afternoon.

According to officials with the sheriff's office, mandatory evacuation orders are in effect for Meamber Creek Road and surrounding areas due to a wildfire.

Cal Fire initially reported that the fire was less than an acre and zero percent contained, as of 3:30 p.m.
